This one was a surprise. I was in my backyard taking picture of birds at the feeder when all of a sudden they all scattered. I thought maybe I moved too quick and scared them away. Then I turned around and saw this guy (or girl), a Cooper’s Hawk. He was hanging out on the branches about 50 feet away from the feeder. He sat there for a while looking for some breakfast. He went after something, but didn’t get it.

I was able to get a few shots off while he was there. It was nice, because he was low to the ground, so I wasn’t shooting up into the trees.
